The layered dryer can avoid adding a disintegration mechanism at the center of the drum dryer. The wet material entering the drying cylinder is repeatedly scooped up and thrown down by the scraper plates on the layered drum wall. During its descent, it is broken into fine particles by the disintegration device, significantly increasing its surface area for thorough contact and drying with hot air. It is suitable for straw, wood chips, sawdust, bamboo powder, ginkgo leaves, Chinese herbs, beer dregs, liquor dregs, potato starch residue, cassava residue, rapeseed cake, etc., with a thermal efficiency as high as 80%, notably higher than similar domestic equipment.
The machine is mainly composed of a layered rotary body, automatic material distribution and lifting plates for mixing specific gravity, transmission devices, support structures, and sealing rings. The dryer is a horizontal cylinder, with materials fed into the inlet end. High-temperature hot flue gas flows into the cylinder alongside the materials. As the cylinder rotates, the materials move to the outlet end due to gravity and the action of the fan. Inside the cylinder, there are lifting plates, blocking plates, and mixing cylinders installed on the inner wall. These components lift and scatter the materials, increasing the contact surface between the materials and the airflow to enhance drying efficiency and promote material movement forward. The dried product is collected from the outlet of the steam separator below.
The structure of the drying cylinder includes the outer cylinder, feed end lifting plate, discharge spiral plate, layered lifting plate, intermediate lifting plate, middle cylinder, and inner cylinder.
The drying cylinder adopts a multi-layer nested design, with three coaxial middle cylinders distributed inside the outer cylinder. Inside these middle cylinders, an inner cylinder is embedded to form a composite heat exchange channel; at both ends of the outer cylinder, there are feed end lifting plates and discharge spiral plates respectively. The three middle cylinders are evenly arranged between them along the axial direction, with layered lifting plates and intermediate lifting plates configured internally. Through the coordinated action of multi-stage material lifting devices and spiral guide structures, full thermal mass exchange between hot gas flow and materials is achieved.
The dryer has a large processing capacity, less fuel consumption and low drying cost. The dryer is characterized by high temperature resistance and can use high temperature hot air to dry the material quickly without catching fire.
During operation, the layered dryer is supported by two rolling structures. The rolling aperture is set on the surface of the roller base, allowing the drying cylinder structure to rotate under external force. When the drive reducer and machine base structure are powered, they drive the transmission gear ring, causing the drying cylinder structure to rotate. The motor in the drive reducer and machine base structure is a variable frequency motor, which can achieve stepless speed adjustment to meet different rotational speed requirements. During feeding, material particles are fed into the outer cylinder of the dryer through the feed device's connection head. At the front end, the material particles undergo co-current drying. The material is continuously lifted and scattered by the lifting plate at the feed end, forming a spiral path for heat exchange. Inside the dryer, the material fully absorbs the heat emitted by both the outer and inner cylinders of the dryer, while also extending the drying time. This is because wet materials that have not reached the desired drying effect cannot move quickly due to their weight, indirectly prolonging the drying time, thus achieving the drying objective.
