The internal combustion carbonization furnace is the latest product of our company. It integrates advanced programmable internal heat carbonization technology, allowing it to flexibly accommodate the unique carbonization requirements of various materials. By customizing and adjusting the carbonization program, it fully realizes automated and intelligent control of the carbonization process. The outer layer of the furnace is made of high-strength alloy steel, while the inner layer is constructed with lightweight refractory bricks. This design effectively isolates the direct contact between the open flame and the outer shell, thereby significantly extending the equipment's service life and substantially reducing subsequent maintenance and repair costs. Furthermore, it significantly improves the carbonization rate, increasing it from approximately 80% to over 95%. Additionally, it features convenient operation, excellent safety and environmental performance, high production efficiency, and substantial energy savings, making it an ideal device for the co-production of charcoal, gas, oil, and electricity.
Our company's newly developed modular Internal Combustion Carbonization Furnace incorporates a rail car loading and unloading system for certain models, facilitating the seamless transfer of charcoal into the cooling chamber via rail car for forced cooling, thereby boosting charcoal production efficiency. Furthermore, it features a unique gas storage chamber design that efficiently recovers and utilizes the flue gas emitted during the carbonization process. This design not only fulfills the furnace's own energy needs but also allows the excess flue gas to serve as a heat source for drying raw materials or additional carbonization operations, maximizing energy utilization. It not only meets the rigorous standards of energy conservation and environmental protection but also brings about notable economic benefits to enterprises. Certain models have achieved breakthroughs in self-powered and mobile production, offering ease of operation and quick setup. They represent an ideal choice for large-scale and flexible production of high-quality charcoal, drastically reducing the production cycle.
Adaptable to multiple materials
Carbonization of Various Wooden Materials
We are capable of carbonizing raw wood and mechanism-made charcoal, achieving high yield rates and excellent quality.
The carbonization process can be roughly divided into the following five stages:
Phase 1: Heating and Dehumidification Stage
At the onset of the first furnace operation, efficient fuels such as burners and crushed wood are employed to provide the necessary heating and maintain a constant temperature environment for the carbonization equipment. As the internal temperature of the carbonization furnace steadily increases to the preset threshold, the raw materials inside undergo a process of drying, dehydration, and moisture removal. The gases emitted during this stage are predominantly pure water vapor, which can be either safely discharged directly or sent to a dedicated purification system for further treatment, depending on local environmental regulations and practical circumstances.
Phase 2: Pre-carbonization Stage
Upon reaching the predetermined pre-carbonization temperature threshold, the materials officially enter the pre-carbonization stage. At this point, biomass flue gases are initially produced, with a complex composition mainly consisting of low-temperature distilled wood vinegar vapor and accompanying water vapor. To ensure environmental friendliness, these gases must be immediately directed into the purification process, undergoing efficient purification before being safely discharged.
Phase 3: Carbonization Stage
As the temperature rises to the core range of carbonization, the pyrolysis reaction shifts into an exothermic process, allowing for a reduction in the external heat source, letting the carbonization process proceed naturally. The flue gases generated during this stage are rich in small amounts of wood vinegar, wood tar, and non-condensable gases. These complex gas components require purification and separation through a sophisticated treatment system. With the assistance of an induced draft fan, some of the purified gases are transported to a high-temperature combustion furnace, mixed with an appropriate amount of oxygen for combustion, achieving emissions that meet standards at high altitudes while also providing valuable thermal energy recycling for the carbonization furnace.
Phase 4: Holding Stage
Once the internal temperature of the furnace reaches the standard required for producing industrial charcoal, the system automatically cuts off the heat source and transitions into a natural holding state, ensuring the stability and completion of the carbonization process.
Phase 5: Cooling Stage
After the holding stage, the equipment transitions into the cooling stage. During this stage, the cooling method can be flexibly selected based on external temperature conditions. For instance, in warmer seasons like late spring and early autumn, water spraying can be used as an auxiliary cooling method. In other periods, forced air cooling is primarily relied upon. After undergoing approximately ten hours of gentle cooling, an additional 20 minutes of forced air cooling is applied to the charcoal to ensure it quickly reaches a suitable state for discharge. Subsequently, the charcoal is rapidly and efficiently discharged.
This equipment is capable of withstanding high temperatures, and its furnace body effectively prevents oxidation, thus significantly reducing fuel consumption to just one-third of that needed by distillation carbonization furnaces. While in operation, no open flames are visible on the exterior of the equipment, thanks to its excellent insulation properties, which also ensure a high level of safety. Furthermore, the equipment is easy and quick to operate, drastically cutting down on manpower requirements and lowering labor costs to just one-fifth of those associated with distillation carbonization furnaces. Additionally, we can tailor equipment of varying specifications and meet specific product quality standards according to our clients' needs. We also offer the design and installation of automatic loading and unloading devices to further boost production efficiency.
